Southern Baptist Convention

The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is a fellowship of about 46,500 Baptist churches and another 4,500 mission churches (churches that have not yet established their autonomy as self-governing congregations) scattered across the United States and its territories. These congregations, comprised of numerous racial, ethnic, language, and socioeconomic people groups, are called “cooperating churches.”

That’s why we exist: to partner with churches to empower limitless missionary teams who are making disciples and multiplying churches among unreached peoples and places for the glory of God.

North American Mission Board

The stated mission of NAMB is to “work with churches, associations and state conventions in mobilizing Southern Baptists as a missional force to impact North America with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and church planting.”

Biblical Recorder

The Biblical Recorder has been the news journal for North Carolina Baptists since 1833. In recent years, the medium of this website has given us another avenue to communicate with our audience all over the world. Our purpose is summarized in three goals:

  1. We will be biblical.

  2. We focus on the Great Commission.

  3. We strive to glorify God.
